Dr. Lovey Reynolds is the Founder, Chief Visionary Officer, and Inaugural Chair (2025 - 2026) of the Board of ANIEA.
Dr. Lovey Reynolds, PhD, APRN, FNP-BC, CPN, CNE, is a Filipino American nurse leader whose work spans nursing education, community health, and global partnerships. She is a tenured Assistant Professor of Nursing and a practicing family nurse practitioner specializing in family health and pediatrics. Dr. Reynolds earned her PhD in Curriculum Studies and Family Nurse Practitioner from DePaul University, building upon an MSN in Nursing Education from Indiana Wesleyan University. She is a board-certified FNP and holds additional national certifications in Pediatric Nursing (CPN) and Nurse Education (CNE).
Dr. Reynolds is an active contributor in regional and national nursing organizations, where she contributes to initiatives that bridge academia, clinical practice, and community-engaged work. She has led initiatives advancing multilateral education, faculty development, and the integration of social drivers of health in nursing practice and education. Her efforts have strengthened community partnerships across urban health systems, improved nursing graduate career readiness, and elevated faculty preparedness in evidence-based, equity-centered teaching.
A committed scholar-practitioner, Dr. Reynolds integrates research, clinical insight, and educational innovation to advance the future of nursing. She is also the Founder of the Alliance for Nursing Innovation, Education, and Advocacy (ANIEA), a nonprofit shared collective dedicated to supporting novice nursing faculty and building academic–community partnerships that drive health equity from local neighborhoods to global arenas. Grounded in equity, fueled by innovation, and unapologetically committed to shaping the nursing workforce of tomorrow, Dr. Lovey Reynolds continues to inspire transformative change across the profession.
Dr. Reynolds was awarded the Illinois Board of Higher Education FY2025 Nurse Educator Award for her contributions to nursing education, the Midwest Nursing Research Society (MNRS) 2024-2025 Nurse Educator RIIG Dissertation Award, and the Philippine Nurses Association of Illinois 2025 Nurse Excellence, Nurse Researcher of the Year.
